The 'big 6' energy firms stop selling gas & electricity to customers on the doorstep in UK, Why not in IRELAND?
SSE (Airtricity in Ireland) was recently fined ~€12.4 million by the UK Energy Regulator for misselling.
Ofgem found that a failure of SSE’s management arrangements meant that insufficient attention was paid to ensuring compliance with obligations. This enabled misleading and unsubstantiated statements
to be made by sales agents to potential customers about savings.
So next time someone calls on your door asking for you to switch, please think twice before making any decisions on the spot.
Maybe it's time door-to-door sales in Ireland were banned outright also!!!
