What?

Guided outdoor walk focused on identifying pollinators, native plants and biodiversity hotspots around a campus, workplace or community space.

How it runs

Selected grass areas are left unmowed in advance. Participants use simple species guides or citizen science apps to photograph and identify pollinators and plants during the walk.

Planning & hosting

Co-ordinate with facilities to leave selected areas unmowed, provide simple ID guides or a citizen science app, and run a photo competition with a small exhibition of the best shots.

Outcome

Improved awareness of pollinators and practical understanding of how simple land management changes can support biodiversity.
